In December 2019, one of our long-standing members, Charles Marasa passed away and to honor his contributions to both APWA and to his community, the Kentucky Central Branch of APWA renamed its annual academic scholarship award to recognize him. Charles was always known for his willingness to pitch in and help those around him. In his honor, our annual scholarship competition, promoting public works and the impact it has on our lives, has been renamed "The Charles Marasa Central Branch Scholarship." We hope to continue Charles' legacy to help those around him by sharing this scholarship in his honor.
For 2024, the Central Branch Board of Directors will be offering two scholarship pathways; one for high school seniors, and another for either freshmen or sophomore college students.
